Aims and Scope
Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (Pediatr Gastroenterol Hepatol Nutr), an official journal of The Korean Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, is issued quarterly and published in English.

The aim of Pediatr Gastroenterol Hepatol Nutr is to advance scientific knowledge and promote child healthcare by publishing high-quality empirical and theoretical studies and providing a recently updated knowledge to those practitioners and scholars in the field of pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition.

Pediatr Gastroenterol Hepatol Nutr publishes review articles, original articles, and case reports. All of the submitted papers are peer-reviewed. The journal covers basic and clinical researches on molecular and cellular biology, pathophysiology, epidemiology, diagnosis, and treatment of all aspects of pediatric gastrointestinal diseases and nutritional health problems.
 
General Information
Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (Pediatr Gastroenterol Hepatol Nutr) is an international, peer-reviewed journal of medicine that is issued quarterly (March, June, September, and December 30th) published in English. It is the official publication of The Korean Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, established in 1998. The first issue was published in 1998, as the Korean Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition (Korean J Pediatr Gastroenterol Nutr, ISSN No: 1229-0114). Articles published in this journal can be obtained from the official website of Pediatr Gastroenterol Hepatol Nutr (www.pghn.org, online publication: eISSN No. 2093-5633, now 2234-8840) as English contents, abstracts and full text PDF files. Pediatr Gastroenterol Hepatol Nutr is indexed in web sites of PubMed, PubMed Central, SCOPUS, ESCI (Emerging Source Citation Index), KoreaMed, KoreaMed Synapse, KoMCI, KCI, MedRIC, RISS, MEDLIS, WPRIM, WorldWideScience.org, Crossref.org, and Google Scholar.

In 2007, Korean J Pediatr Gastroenterol Nutr introduced an online submission (http://www.pghn.org/submission/) and peer review system. Each article is provided with the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and Crossref system. Korean J Pediatr Gastroenterol Nutr had been a free journal since 2003 via the homepage of The Korean Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (http://www.kspghan.or.kr), until Pediatr Gastroenterol Hepatol Nutr becomes an open access journal in 2012. All articles are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial License, which permits unrestricted non-commercial use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited. The circulation number per issue is 350. For subscription, submission and all other information, visit our website. Annual subscription rates are: US$ 200 plus postage for institutions and US$ 100 for individuals. The title of Korean Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition was revised to Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (print publication: ISSN No. 2234-8646, on-line edition: eISSN No. 2234-8840) from 2012. Pediatr Gastroenterol Hepatol Nutr has been published in English, beginning with Issue 1, Volume 15, 2012. The publication of this journal is financed in part by the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies (KOFST) Grant funded by the Korean Government.
